Artbox and Asian Band

So, once again, I have been terrible at updating. Here goes another month of blog updates.

Back in the beginning of September a few coworkers and I went out for happy hour after school on a Friday. We were supposed to get a foot massage after happy hour, but we ended up walking by this tiny rinky dink place that had live music playing and thought we would pop in for a bit. Well, a bit turned into a few hours. The three-man-Thai-Band was playing all kinds of 70’s and 80’s music….clearly we never made it to the foot massages. Instead, we were front row singing and trying to convince the band to let us karaoke.

Sunday evening I met up with Stephanie and we went to Artbox, a weekend market. The market consists of recycled shipping containers, tons of food, and live music. All of the vendors have their booths set up in rows and rows of white painted shipping containers. There was an area of food trucks by the music stage and they used pallets as seats and tables. The band playing was really great, they played American and Thai music. It is considered a place where all the “trendy” Thais visit. I mean who wouldn’t want to hang out under a huge tree lit up with blue Christmas lights. Score.
