After our professional development on Friday ( a few Friday’s ago at this point) a few of us from work went to Brian’s house for lawn games; ladder golf, bocci, and cornhole. We all picked partners and a bracket was created for each game. Vicky and I were pals and we were quite the trash talkers for losing out the second round of every game. I guess its not to shabby for never playing any of the games before….at least we didn’t lose out the first round.
After the tournament we all went to a local market for a late dinner and then back to Brian’s to play some poker.
On the way back to Brian’s we stopped at 7/11. Kevin, Vicky’s husband, introduced me to “toasties.” WHY?!
I almost refused to try them, but Kevin was quite the convincer…”K-dog, they are so great, the people at the counter even heat them up for you!”
Okay, Okay… so I get one. Kevin failed to mention that heating them up meant putting this white bread, ham and cheese sandwich on a tiny waffle maker to let it get “toastie.” I don’t even like ham.
Kevin for the win. Toasties are a delicious snack.
I’m also really terrible at poker.
